One of the following errors occurs after entering the validation code during the QuickBooks registration process:
If you have not yet registered QuickBooks, the Register QuickBooks window appears. In this window, click Begin Registration to start the activation process.
To open this window from within the product, go to the Help menu, clickRegister QuickBooks and then click Begin Registration.
QuickBooks will connect to the QuickBooks activation server and attempt to register your product online. Follow the onscreen instructions.
If QuickBooks cannot connect to the activation server, the Register by Phone window will open automatically. Follow the onscreen instructions to register your product by phone with a support representative.
Under rare circumstances, this window may not appear. To access the registration window directly:
Go to the Help menu and click About QuickBooks.
On your keyboard, hold the CTRL key, and then press R, then P.
Note: Do not use the Renew License by Phone window from the Manage My License command on the Help menu. This window is used only for renewing a subscription to QuickBooks 2008 or later when it runs out.
