Upg From QB 2008
Upgrading is Very Simple
If you're currently using QuickBooks 2008, upgrading to the latest version is a straightforward process.
Don't know which version you have? Open QuickBooks, then hit F2 on your keyboard. A window will open containing the version information.
What Do I Need to Upgrade?
- A copy of the latest version of QuickBooks: You can purchase this by calling us on 020 - 3742774 / 3744660 / 03744418 / 020-3503585 to buy.
How Does The Upgrade Work?
Moving from QuickBooks 2008 to the latest version is a simple upgrade. Just follow the installation instructions that come with your new copy of QuickBooks.
The software will detect your existing copy of QuickBooks and walk you through each step of the upgrade process.
Upgrading will probably take one to two hours, depending on the size of your company file. You won't have to reconstruct any customised forms or reports - all your figures, templates, forms, reports and other data will be moved over automatically.

What Else Do I Need to Check?
We've made some small changes to the way customised templates work to ensure they comply with the law:
- Your VAT number (if you have one) will be printed on all templates
- Each template will have a new area summarising VAT. You can add a title to this
- You can add "this is not a VAT invoice" text to all non-VAT forms like estimates and purchase orders
These changes won't substantially affect the look of your templates or stop them functioning, but we do recommend you check each template and make sure these items are displayed properly.
